Descrição: A nursing home behind the lines with Jules Copin, his wife and child, and two blind aunts, led by two nurses. Copin was a French soldier captured by the Germans in September 1914 who escaped and was hidden by his wife in his own home at Masnières near Cambrai until the village was captured by the British in November 1917. Also shown is a baby born one day after its mother was evacuated by the British from a captured village, posed with its mother, three other children, and two nurses at the home.
